how it works
stick the locket to the back of your phone case once. wear the wrist piece like a watch. when you want your phone on your wrist, flip open the locket, set your phone on the wrist piece, press down and give it the twisting click. twist it off anytime and close the locket.
setting up your locket
you'll only do this once, so take a minute with it.
1. check your case. the locket sticks to smooth plastic phone cases. it won't hold on silicone, textured or leather cases.
2. find the center. place the locket in the dead center of the back of your case, top to bottom and side to side.
3. line it up. keep the locket square with the edges of your phone. that's what lets it click in upright or sideways.
4. press and wait. press it on firmly, then give it 24 hours to cure before you wear it.
the adhesive is permanent by design. it's what gives your phone the most secure hold, so once the locket is on, it stays on.
wearing it
wear the wrist piece snug. tighten the slide clasp until it sits close to your wrist, so your phone stays steady with no wobble. a soft foam pad sits between the wrist piece and your skin, so it stays comfortable all day. the braided band swaps out anytime, and the wrist piece, chip and locket all come in colors you choose.
will it work with my phone?
freeband works with any phone in a smooth plastic case. the locket sticks to the back of your case, not your phone, so there's no special case to buy. it won't hold on silicone, textured or leather cases.
can i move the locket or switch cases?
the locket is made to stay put for good. its adhesive is permanent, which is what gives your phone the most secure hold on your wrist, so take a minute to center it before you press it on. switching to a new case means starting with a new locket.
can i use my phone while it's on my wrist?
yes, that's the whole point. it sits screen up, so you can read a text, check a map or skip a song without holding it. need it in hand for a call or a photo? twist it off in a second.
where would i actually wear it?
anywhere your hands fill up: coffee runs, dog walks, errands, the commute, a citi bike, the gym. it's made for everyday life, not running or high-impact sports.
why not just wear a smartwatch?
even with a smartwatch, your phone still has to go somewhere. freeband is for that part. it puts the phone you already have on your wrist, so your camera, your map and your full screen are right there and your hands are free. love your watch? keep it! they do different jobs.

here's a quick test.
run a finger across the middle of the back of your case. if it feels slick and smooth, like plastic or glass, you're good. if it feels rubbery or grippy, or has a pattern you can feel, it's not the right fit.
